It’s One of Those Days!

(In the best way possible.)

Today I get to spend some time doing this routine I have that I not only love, but that also makes me quite satisfied with the amount of progress that I make. In The above picture I have an assortment of various wood. Most will be walking sticks, some are walking sticks i finished but dont like, so will aim to…glow-up.., 😁. The driftwood pieces, however, will likely be used as devices to hangle/dangle various items from (ex. shells, bones).

So I know, it’s like, what is this unfinished nonsense! Well, I gotta toot my own horn real fast (just a lil!). I truthfully hold a little bit of the tiniest bit of pride or something, in the fact that I AM able to finish things, and not leave them stuck at 75%. It’s not easy sometimes though! So, today, with the intent of getting some art work done, I’m going with my 5-minute frenzy. (A lifestyle 😉). Lol.

What this looks like:

-I gather everything I need: wood, supplies, tools, extension chords, bug spray and bug candle, tools, paint brush, mineral spirits, shellac, and I’m sure theres more. ***(Do this part as quick as possible–you don’t wanna lose that ~excitement to make art feeling~ before you even start!)

-Turn on speaker, get music or podcast player pulled up………………

-Set a five minute timer on phone (love the restart button).

-Kinddddd of blast the music or podcast(Good thing I live in the woods in the mtns.) (Power tools).

– Go to town!!!

A More Detailed Ending:

-Work HARD on one item for 5 minutes. When the alarm goes off, so does the power tool. Don’t allow yourself to keep on “just another 30 seconds”!! When I do, an hour passes and I’ve only made progress on ONE item!

-Doing 5-minute intervals actually produces some good results! At least I hope! Haha, I will post a picture of the ending result.

(note, they are very likely not finished, this is just one routine I take in order to get a lot done in a short amount of time. Try it out!! Even if it’s not art! I do a 10-min version on my every day to-do list all the time!

More pics soon!
